Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with devotion and delight at Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, as students came together to welcome Lord Ganesha—the remover of obstacles and harbinger of wisdom and prosperity. The air was filled with festive energy as children adorned the space with eco-friendly decorations and traditional chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya!” echoing with joy and devotion. The celebration featured bhajans, stories about Ganesha’s birth and wisdom, and joyful performances by our young learners that reflected the spirit of unity and reverence.

CULINARY WORKSHOP

Cooking and creativity came together in a delightful way at Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam during our “No Oil, No Boil” culinary workshop. Our young chefs eagerly explored the joy of healthy cooking, using only fresh ingredients—no fire, no oil, just their creativity and teamwork. The kitchen was alive with excitement as children whipped up tasty treats like crunchy bhel chaat, colorful papaya salads, sweet choco-rolls, and fruity poha popsicles. Each learner proudly presented their culinary creation and earned the well-deserved title of “Junior No-Oil-No-Boil Chef.” This workshop not only taught valuable lessons about healthy eating but also sparked joy, collaboration, and a love for wholesome foods among our learners. It was a memorable experience that nurtured both their palates and their spirits!

BOOK EXPO

We recently hosted a captivating book exhibition in collaboration with the Indian Ministry of Culture. The event featured collections from 40 different publishers, offering a vibrant mix of genres and authors for readers of all ages. Parents, learners, and visitors alike wandered through the thoughtfully curated displays, discovering stories that inspired and delighted. The calm, reflective atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for a memorable day of inspiration and learning.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Freedom to Be – An Independence Day to Remember

Our Independence Day celebration was a meaningful blend of reflection, pride, and togetherness. The day began with the proud hoisting of our national flag, a moment that filled everyone with a deep sense of patriotism and unity. Our learners then mesmerized the audience with a graceful dance performance on the theme “Freedom to Be,” beautifully expressing the spirit of independence through movement and music.

The highlight was the Parent Engagement Program, where parents and learners co-created vision boards on what freedom means to them. It was a pause to reflect, realign goals, and celebrate the essence of true freedom.

Our little Krishnas and Radhas brought alive the spirit of joy and devotion, filling the day with boundless love, infectious laughter, and radiant light. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, they danced, smiled, and celebrated with pure innocence and joy. It was truly a heartwarming celebration—a day to cherish, and a memory to treasure!

GRANDPARENTS DAY

Cherished Moments with Our Grandparents!

At Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, we were delighted to honor and celebrate the love, wisdom, and warmth of our beloved grandparents. Their presence made the day truly special—one filled with laughter, joy, and heartfelt moments that will be cherished for years to come.

From engaging games that sparked playful smiles to the sharing of stories steeped in tradition, every activity was a beautiful reminder of the strong bond between generations. It was a day of connection, celebration, and gratitude—a true testament to the timeless love that grandparents bring into our lives.

We extend our deepest thanks to all the grandparents who joined us and made the event so memorable.

VAN MAHOTSAV

In the spirit of Van Mahotsav, we didn’t just plant trees—we sowed gratitude, sparked curiosity, and watched care take root. From planting saplings to creating bug hotels and natural fertilizers, our students across Grades 1–6 have been actively engaged in hands-on sustainability projects. They explored organic gardening, made eco-friendly insect sprays, seed balls, and even observed local birds—all while learning about SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land.

The culmination event was a memorable experience, as parents were captivated by a beautifully performed skit that conveyed a touching message of gratitude towards the mango tree, symbolizing respect for nature and its gifts. The occasion also featured an inspiring gallery walk, where students confidently displayed their creative projects and reflected learning. The event stood as a meaningful tribute to curiosity, environmental awareness, and the joyful partnership between home and school.

Every moment became a celebration of learning, nature, and joyful connection. Each small act carried a quiet promise: a greener tomorrow begins here, nurtured by responsibility and compassion.

INTERNATIONAL DOCTORS’ DAY

HONOURING THE HEALERS

To celebrate the noble profession of healing and care, our learners from Grades 1 to 6 came together for a heartwarming Doctor’s Day Assembly — a morning filled with gratitude, learning, and inspiration. From a lively skit on mindful eating to thoughtful questions about healing, our young learners stepped into the roles of doctors, confidently explaining how healthy choices shape our well-being.

A highlight of the morning was the presence of Dr. Vamseedharan from Ganga Hospital, a valued parent in our school community. In his heartfelt address, he emphasized nurturing our bodies through mindful eating and shared a powerful message of compassion — towards people and the planet. He inspired learners to dream big, reminding them that whatever path they choose, the ultimate purpose is to serve others.

The interactive session that followed was filled with thoughtful questions led to a wonderful exchange between Dr. Vamseedharan and the children, making it a truly meaningful experience. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Vamseedharan for his valuable time and wisdom, and to our vibrant learners for filling the day with enthusiasm and joy. When learning connects head, heart, and hands, every moment becomes relevant, rigorous, and deeply reflective — rooted in the relationships we build together.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

Circles of Energy, Circles of Intention

A circle has no beginning or end—just like our shared intention to nurture calm, focus, and inner harmony. In the spirit of International Yoga Day, our teachers came together for a Mandala Yoga, that was more than just a warm-up. It was a moment of collective centering of mind and body. Grateful for the shared space and purpose that ground us as educators and lifelong learners.

On International Yoga Day, our learners embraced the inspiring theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’ through mindful movement and reflection. This powerful theme highlights the deep connection between our personal well-being and the health of our planet, reminding us that caring for ourselves is also a vital step toward caring for the Earth. Through yoga practice, our learners experienced calmness, balance, and a sense of harmony—not just within themselves, but with the world around them. This day was a meaningful reminder that our health and the health of our planet are intertwined, inspiring us all to live with greater awareness and compassion for one Earth, one family, and one future.
