Her extensive academic qualifications are complemented by her role as a certified Reiki and Pranic healer, and as an examiner for the Cambridge and IB Boards. Vice Principal
Ms. Surya is a Computer Science graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Education in Mathematics and special education and brings over a decade of teaching experience, including the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge, and CBSE curriculums. She is also a mentor for the Cambridge International Certificate of Teaching and Learning at Chettinad Vidya Mandir. Currently, she is pursuing a PG Diploma in School Leadership and Management.
She began her professional journey as an IB teacher. Her fascination lies in understanding how students construct knowledge and her interest in using questions and big ideas to drive meaningful teaching and learning. She strongly believes in influencing educators to rethink their roles in fostering curiosity, and a zest for learning in both themselves and their students.
Ms. Surya firmly believes in the power of proactive leadership, emphasizing values and encouraging a mind-set of continuous improvement. Her leadership philosophy centers on inspiring a shared vision, promoting collaboration, and creating an environment that nurtures both personal and professional growth.
Event Coordinator, Purna Vidya Educator
Ms. Annapoorani Prasad is a Commerce graduate by qualification. Her love towards learning and understanding the learners better, made her pursue a master’s degree in Applied Psychology. She is the event co-coordinator and also handles Purna Vidya at our school. She finds her purpose in teaching values to all learners and facilitates them to develop their inner growth, achieve inner peace and universal oneness with a holistic approach.
Lower Secondary Coordinator & Science Educator
Ms. Shanmugapriya is a passionate educator with over 8 years of experience in teaching primary and upper primary in varied curricula like IB, IGCSE and CBSE. Her interest towards the subject Science, has motivated her to complete Master’s in Biotechnology and Master’s in Education. During her graduation and post graduation, she has been an active participant presenting papers in most of the National and International Conferences on Advancements and Innovations in the field of Biotechnology. Before starting her teaching career , she has been working as a Clinical Research Analyst. This has helped her a lot to gather sound knowledge in the science field. Ms Shanmugapriya holds a Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning with Distinction. She strongly believes that when learners are allowed to experience and learn through active learning strategies, they are able to express themselves more confidently and enjoy the journey of learning.
Grade 3 and 4 Coordinator, Grade 4 Class Teacher
Ms. Premalatha, is a passionate educator with a master’s degree in English, Diploma in Elementary Education. She has over thirteen years of teaching experience in CBSE and ICSE schools. She is caring, patient and observant as a teacher. As a teacher, Ms. Premlatha lays emphasis on the socio-emotional wellbeing of children. She implements active learning strategies and experiential learning methods. She often considers the learning environment and time of the learners. She is a dedicated and hardworking facilitator who believes in making a connection with the children at their level and enabling each child’s potential.
Grade 1 & 2 Coordinator
Ms. Vinotha is the Grade 1 and 2 coordinator. She is an encouraging and dedicated educator. She has over 8 years of teaching experience in International and CBSE schools. She holds a Bachelors in Both English Literature and Special education. She facilitates EVS and Math for Grade 2. She renders support in improving the teaching skills and educational processes. She believes in creating a conducive learning environment and helping children develop in their social and emotional skills in order to create confident, happy and reflective learners.
Pre Primary Coordinator
Ms. Cibi Francis is an experienced and dedicated educator with a passion for early childhood education. With over 13 years of experience in the field of education, she is an English Literature graduate who also completed Diploma in Child Education and Applied Psychology “E.C.C.E”. Ms. Cibi has held various roles in the field including teacher, center coordinator, and now as our Pre-Primary Coordinator. In her current role,she believes in building a strong foundation for the young learners. She believes in a holistic approach to education, focusing not only on academic growth but also on the social, emotional, and physical well-being of each child.
She believes in the power of play and hands-on learning experiences and strives to create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
